Safety Director Certification - REQUIRED
NFPA99 guidelines require every hyperbaric facility to have a Certified Safety Director in the United States.
A Hyperbaric Safety Director is responsible for overseeing the safety, protocols, and operations of a hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) program within a clinic. This role ensures that all treatments are conducted in compliance with industry regulations and safety standards while maintaining a secure environment for both patients and staff. This is an online Safety Director program which requires video attendance and passing an examination.
This training is an official National Hyperbaric Safety Association (NHSA) program
Established in 2004, the International Hyperbaric Association was founded with the simple goal of increasing the awareness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to both the medical community and consumers alike. Through a combination of strategic initiatives, annual events, training certification, research grants and scholarships the mission continues today to educate the community at-large on the benefits of HBOT and provide accessibility for those in need to improve health and wellness.
